Good Song

This song is one of my favorite non-CCM songs. My mom (who can't stand CCM) loves this song so much that I memorized it several years ago for the express purpose of singing for her when she was depressed. Anyhow, I hope y'all enjoy "I Can Go In" by Abigail Miller.

  1. This is a great song!
Hey, if your mum dislikes CCM, has she heard of Chris Rice and his album Peace Like a River: The Hymn Project? It's a great album with lots of old hymns (It is Well, Come Thou Fount, Great is Thy Faithfulness, etc) on it. It hasn't got a super-old feel to it, but it's definitely more classic.

    1. I don't think she has. I may suggest it after I listen to it. Certain songs and groups she doesn't mind (for example, she likes the Getty's, but they're pretty mild for CCM). Thanks for the recommendation!

  2. Ooh, I can vouch for Chris Rice, too. I've heard a hodgepodge of his stuff, hymns and his own songs, and it's really good. He does "Untitled Hymn (Come to Jesus)" if you've ever heard of it (not quite a classic hymn, but still good).

    1. Okay, it looks like I'll have to check him out! I have another friend who recommended him, so three recommendations really means he's gotta be pretty good! Thanks for the input!

    2. 'Two or three witnesses...' :P Untitled Hymn is AMAZING. And Breakfast Table... Well, that's not really a hymn, and it's kinda sad, but it so good.

    3. "...every word shall be established!" Alright, I'll look him up! I surrender! I give in! :)

  3. I've been wondering what the name of this song was! I first heard a family at church sing it and been wondering ever since what the title was.

Chris Rice is good. Have you ever listened to Fernando Ortega? I really like a lot of his songs and I think your mom might like him too.

    1. I have listened to Ortega. His hymn music is amazing, and you're right! My mom would probably like him. Well, thank you for all the suggestions, guys (I mean, gals)! :)

    2. Oh, oops, my mistake! CCM stands for Contemporary Christian Music. I'm so used to using the abbreviation that I forgot that most people don't abbreviate it that way! Sorry 'bout that!

    3. Haha! I wasn't sure if it stood for contemporary or classical. 'Cause it looks like it could go both ways! :p

    4. Man, I hadn't even caught that possibility! That's funny. That would have been confusing! Yep, it's contemporary, not classical.

  4. Great song Taylor B. It is so good to listen to songs like this instead of listening to songs like New boys and TobyMac.
